CU Maurice River has partnered with the Cumberland County Cultural & Heritage Commission and the Mauricetown Historical Society to offer live music, historic house and garden tours, fine arts and crafts, vendors such as The Great Full Garden and Kumarie's Garden Market, hands-on activities for kids, and delicious food at the Mauricetown RiverFest on Saturday, September 13. The Mauricetown Historical Society will be leading a tour of the Secret Gardens of Mauricetown at 11 am., meeting in front of the Historical Society building at 1229 Front Street. Other local organizations such as South Jersey Land & Water Trust and the Bayshore Center at Bivalve will also be there with educational activities. During the Mauricetown RiverFest, artists will be set up around the village using the landscape and local architecture as an inspiration to create works of art. Visitors can even purchase their work! Help CU Maurice River promote its mission by engaging and involving community members with its work and offerings. CUMR will have tables at the festival for general outreach and education. You can indicate interest in helping out by using the button below to volunteer. The day has been broken down into various shifts to allow plenty of time for volunteers to enjoy the festival as well. |
