Meet at the CU Maurice River table
CU Executive Director and CU Naturalists will be leading a walk at 10:30 am along the WheatonArts Nature Trail that CU Maurice River installed. Join them as they share their work with community members from both near and far. The walk will begin at the CU Maurice River table at 10:30 am.
Keynote Speaker, Dr. Daniel Herrera: Cats, Conservation, and Common Ground: The need for responsible management of feral, stray, and outdoor cats

While his research has spanned many species, Dr. Herrera has spent a considerable portion of his career investigating the ecological impacts of free-roaming domestic cats in protected areas, with the aim of finding solutions that safeguard wildlife, public health, and animal welfare.
Dr. Herrera holds bachelor's degrees in Environmental Science and Biology (double major) from Augustana College and a PhD in Environmental Science and Technology from the University of Maryland.
