Cohanzick Zoological Society - 3rd Annual Run For The Animals / 9-27-25

Join the Cohanzick Zoological Society at its 3rd annual Run For the Animals 5K and 1-mile walk at the Cohanzick Zoo.

The race will highlight the Cohanzick Zoo and Bridgeton Park and bring together participants of all ages for a fun-filled family competition.  All proceeds from the event will be used to supplement the annual Zoo budget.

The race will start and finish at the Zoo parking lot.  Parking for the event will be at Bridgeton High School.  Participants will be able to take a short walk from the side entrance down to the Zoo.

Packet pickup will be available race morning starting at 8 am at the starting line.  The race starts promptly at 9 am.  Mayor Aitken Drive will be closed to traffic from 8:30 to 10:30 am. Race shirts will be available free to those who register before 9/11/25.  Following 9/12, race shirts will be available on a first come, first served basis.

New this year: leashed friendly pups are welcome to join the run or walk.  Please note that dogs are NOT allowed within the Zoo, but may be walked along the exterior perimeter and race path.

Awards will be given to the top 3 female and male finishers.

The Zoo is an integral part of the Cumberland County park system, abundant in history, the diversity of the animals that live there and the value it brings to the area.  It provides enrichment to its visitors without admission fees.
