Rowan College of South Jersey Career & Technical Education - Beginner ESL Level 1 / Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-16-25 to 11-20-25

Beginner ESL 1 class provides students with none or limited English communications skills with instruction and practice with developing additional vocabulary, basic grammar, reading and speaking skills. This is a 40-hour live-online, virtual course. Students will be notified on when to pick up their books from the campus prior to course start.

This class is available through a partnership between the New Jersey Community College Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development, and the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development. Attendees must be employed by a registered New Jersey business. Public and State employees are not eligible for this grant-funded training, but there are other options available.  Participants who complete the entire duration of their classes will receive a professional development certificate of completion.
