Participants will learn to equip themselves with skills to hand challenging discussions with grace and assertiveness, turning conflicts into opportunities for growth in this course. The learning objectives include understanding when feedback should take place, how to prepare and plan to deliver constructive criticism, identifying the proper steps to be taken during the feedback session, understanding how emotions and certain actions can negatively impact the effects of the feedback session and uncovering the best techniques for following up with the employee after the session. This is a 4-hour virtual class.
This free class is available through a partnership between the New Jersey Community College Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development, and the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development. Attendees must be employed by a registered New Jersey business. Public and State employees are not eligible for this grant-funded training, but there are other options available. Participants who complete the entire duration of their classes will receive a professional development certificate of completion.
