Explore the impact of language on interpersonal relationships and learn techniques to express ideas clearly. This communications course provides insights into creating more receptivity in communications with active listening and crafting how we deliver our messages. Participants understand the different methods of communication and how to make the most of them. The learning objectives include identifying barriers to unsuccessful communications, considering our tone and language when delivering messages and considering how to engage others in our communications. This is a 4-hour virtual class.
This free class is available through a partnership between the New Jersey Community College Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development, and the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development. Attendees must be employed by a registered New Jersey business. Public and State employees are not eligible for this grant-funded training, but there are other options available. Participants who complete the entire duration of their classes will receive a professional development certificate of completion.
