In honor of Alcohol Awareness Month, Southwest Council is meeting with Rutgers University for an overview of alcohol-related issues and how they affect youth and young adults in New Jersey's southern region and other rural areas across the United States.
The event, part of the GRASP (Gloucester Regional Addictive Substance Prevention) and SCRATCH (Salem Cumberland Regional Action Toward Community Health) quarterly coalition meeting, is entitled "Alcohol Awareness in Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem Counties: Understanding and Addressing the Problem with Alcohol-Related Issues."
This talk will offer participants information for people living in the tri-counties about alcohol use risk factors, alcohol considerations for families, rural communities and diverse populations, and best practices for prevention, treatment and responsible. drinking. The speaks also will engage participants using a listening session after the presentation.
